Welcome to PCHAIN weekly report.

We would like to present you with our latest progress update. Please read below for a rundown of some important things that have occurred last week.

PCHAIN’s First Cross Chain game is online !

On December 7th, PCHAIN Lottery, the first cross chain game on Testnet 2.0, was officially launched. It completed cross-chain interaction with BCH based on PCHAIN chain 1. A winner would be randomly generated in this game every 24 hours. Participants can bet tBCH to game after depositing for free. The larger tBCH amount you bet, the greater chance you will win. In each period, 3 lucky participants whose ranking is No 9/ No 99 /No 199, can share 30% reward from the pool. Each one will get 10% of the total betting. Meanwhile, the winner gets 70% rewards. PCHAIN’s Smart Data Partnerships

By the end of November, there have been 16 smart data partners of PCHAIN, which will cooperate on different research directions and technology developments around smart data, work together to the construction of PCHAIN’s bottom ecosystem, and jointly innovate blockchain technology to make large Scale blockchain industrial applications possible. At the same time, the “Call for research”, which was announced on ICDM Blockchain Day in Singapore in November, is also underway. Welcome to participate in!

PCHAIN Innovative Consensus Algorithm :PDBFT 1.0

PDBFT 1.0, a innovative consensus algorithm of PCHAIN, solved the deficiencies of the traditional POW and PBFT. A consensus algorithm based on POW requires a significant amount of computing power, resulting in a lower TPS (transactions per second) and has the possibility of fork. A consensus algorithm based on PBFT improved efficiency, but resulting a higher cost of communication. PCHAIN adopted a new consensus mechanism — PDBFT, which includes many new features. Regular replacement of validator set allows the validator to join and exit the mechanism more freely. Active change of the leader makes it more difficult to attack the leader. A reduction in the communication cost of broadcasting the votes from O(n2) to O(n) greatly improves the extendibility of the protocol and makes large-scale applications possible.


PCHAIN was invited to dbcrypto Telegram AMA

PCHAIN founder and CEO Dr Feng Cao and CTO Steven Lv was invited to dbcrypto Telegram AMA on Dec.05.2018. PCHAIN Testnet2.0 has attracted a lot of attention, 71% new users have visited it within 48 hours after Testnet2.0 launched. During this AMA, many people raised questions about TPS on Testnet 2.0.

As PCHAIN CTO Steven Lv responded: PCHAIN Testnet 1.0 get TPS of 123,424 with 256 child chains, and every child chain contributes about 400 TPS. Now we have optimized the system and one child chain can reach about 600 TPS. So with the scale of 1.0, Testnet 2.0 can get TPS of about 180,000.
